Privacy Policy
At Lesson Log, we take your privacy and the privacy of your students seriously. This policy explains what information we collect, how it is used, and how we protect it.
1. Information We Collect
- Account Information: When you sign up, we collect your email address and a securely hashed password to authenticate your account.
- Tutor Data: The names, goals, lesson notes, and payment ledgers of the students you input into the system. You are the data controller for this information.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the data you provide strictly to operate the Lesson Log service. This includes storing your records, generating AI summaries based on your notes, and providing you with a functional workspace.
3. Third-Party Processors
To provide our services, we use trusted third-party infrastructure:
- Supabase: For secure database hosting and user authentication.
- Cloudflare: For secure website hosting and email routing.
- AI Providers: Your raw lesson notes are securely transmitted to an AI provider (e.g., OpenAI) solely for the purpose of generating parent updates and extracting to-do items. We do not allow these providers to use your data to train their public models.
4. Data Security
Your data is protected using Row Level Security (RLS) at the database level. This means your student data is cryptographically locked to your user account and cannot be accessed by other users.
5. Your Rights
You own your data. You may download a copy of your records or permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us at [email protected].
